2013 hochmoderne Akkuprodukte ausstellen

Accutronics blazes a trail at Embedded World

The Accutronics Intelligent Power Vault battery
The Accutronics Intelligent Power Vault
Accutronics is to showcase leading-edge battery products at the Embedded World 2013 Exhibition & Conference in Nuremberg, Germany on 26–28 February 2013 (Booth 2-515, Hall 2), including the recently launched Intelligent Power Vault lithium ion multi-battery power system for medical and industrial applications.

Accutronics will also display its compact credit card sized batteries and the Inspired Energy battery range of standard smart batteries, chargers and accessories. Additionally, visitors to the stand will see the Accupro specialist custom batteries and chargers that the company has developed for some of the world’s leading device OEM’s. The Entellion off-the-shelf range of battery products will be displayed as well.

Intelligent Power Vault (IPV) is a unique multi-battery power source ideal for powering medical and industrial devices when high energy density, reliability and functionality are critical requirements. The innovative modular design provides flexibility and scalability, permitting transportation without the costs associated with large Lithium Ion batteries.  The IPV provides a wealth of vital battery data to its host equipment from USB and serial interfaces, ensuring information about remaining runtime is reported accurately and efficiently.

Accutronics’ credit card sized batteries, come with an active electronic protection system that makes them resistant to over-charging, over-discharging and short-circuit. Meeting internationally recognised standards for safety and transportation. Accutronics CC2300 and CC3800 credit card batteries allow device designers to integrate a smart Lithium Ion battery into new handheld portable products with minimal effort and cost. Each model has been designed to provide a high level of functionality and safety, reducing time to market while eliminating tooling and qualification costs.

Michele Windsor, direct sales and marketing manager at Accutronics, said: “Embedded World 2013 is the ideal platform for Accutronics to demonstrate its strength and expertise in the embedded systems market, from life saving medical applications to military equipment.

“The Intelligent Power Vault, VR420 and credit card batteries are examples of products that Accutronics have available as standard solutions. Both the IPV and the credit card sized batteries are exempt from Dangerous Goods shipping regulations, minimising the cost and complexity of shipping. This reduces the time and cost associated with development and regulatory testing meaning customers get their devices to market faster.”

VR420A - Pre certified as standard

The VR420A Lithium ion smart battery is the ideal solution for power hungry electronic devices. Rated at 14.4V and 6.2Ah the battery stores a huge 89Wh making it ideal for customers who want to maxmise energy without exceeding the 100Wh limit that triggers more complex and costly shipping regulation.

The VR420A has been tested to both UL2054 and IEC62133 standards and comes with a CB test certificate which can be used to simply and quickly prove the applicability of the battery in your next product design.

Furnished with both internal electronic protection and the latest impedance tracking fuel gauge technology, the VR420A provides host devices with a multitude of battery data including remaining capacity, serial number, date of manufacture, voltage, current, temperature and cycle count.

The VR420A can also be customsed to suit particular need. Change of plastic case colour? change of label artwork? Modifications to the embedded software? all are possible with the VR420A.

Please contact us to discuss how the new VR420A can be incoporated into your next product design, simply and quickly.

Accutronics at Embedded World

The Accutronics team will be heading for Nurnberg, Germany next month for the Embedded World 2013 Exhibition & Conference. It runs between the 26th and 28th of February 2013.

The Nurnberg event is ideal for everyone developing embedded technology or wanting to take existing products and embed them into a system they are developing - The three day event attracts customers from across Europe to the beautiful city in the south east of Germany and is not to be missed.

Accutronics will be demonstrating the Intelligent Power Vault - the perfect solution for those customers requiring a battery solution that stores more than 100Wh without the cost and complexity of dangerous good shipping regulation. An Intelligent Power Vault can store up to 1.4kWh using multiple, hot-swappable Lithium ion smart batteries and provides realtime data to a host system via USB, RS232 or an I2C interface.

We will also be showing the CC2300 and CC3800 Lithium ion credit card smart batteries which are ideal for smaller handheld electronic products. Each credit card battery comes with IEC62133 (safety) and UN38.3 (transportation) approval in addition to being fully CE compliant.. so the batteries can be dropped into your new device with minimal effort and cost.

Don't want something we have already developed? Well Accutronics can design and manufacture a battery to your unique requirements through our 'AccuPro' design, development and manufacturing service. Accutronics has developed outstanding battery solutions for some of the worlds largest professional device OEMs and we look forward to talking through your future battery needs.

If you need a ticket for the show then contact me and we will arrange that for you - or just come onto the stand and see us. We are in hall 2, booth 515.
